Last night, for the very first time The Ballarat Art Gallery hosted Victorian Indigenous Art Awards 2013.

The Minister for the Arts Hon Heidi Victoria presented the $30.000 Deadly Art Award cheque to the winning Melbourne artist Ray Thomas for his painting of ‘A Gunnai Elder – Mum Alice’ portraying his mother.
