Ballarat Through My Eyes competition
17 August – 15 September 2013
Last month the Ballarat International Foto Biennale in partnership with United Way Ballarat presented a new photographic competition for BIFB’13.
‘Ballarat Through My Eyes’ was open to photographers of all levels to submit outstanding images on what quintessentially and personally represents Ballarat to them.
Judged by local photographers Peter Kervarec, myself and Ballarat City Councillor Belinda Coates, the competition closed on July 29th and the 24 finalists were chosen to exhibit during BIFB’13 in the unique Tin Can Galleries in Bridge Mall, Ballarat.
From the shortlisted 24 entries, 12 winners will be chosen and each winner will receive a prize and have their images published on United Way’s 2014 Calendar. There will also be a People’s Choice Award voted for on facebook at http://facebook.com/BallaratThroughMyEyes and winner will have their image on the front of the calendar.
