Social ImpactAn exhibition from award-winning Melbourne-based photographer Aldona Kmieć has opened at RACV Inverloch Resort, on display to the public until 29 November 2025.

Titled Veil, the exhibition features a series of self-portraits created using long-exposure photography and movement. The works explore themes of identity and cultural heritage, drawing on Kmieć’s experience of migrating from Poland to Australia.

“This series is about navigating personal identity and transformation,” said Ms Kmieć.

“Each image captures a moment in time and reflects the layered experience of building a life in a new country.”

Veil is the latest in a series of exhibitions presented by RACV across its resorts as part of its commitment to showcasing regional and Victorian artists. It is also one of the many exhibitions and events RACV is hosting to celebrate the Ballarat International Foto Biennale.

RACV Head of Visual Arts Mardi Nowak said RACV is pleased to support artists like Kmieć, whose work opens up important conversations around community, migration and identity.

“Aldona’s work connects with many people living in regional and urban communities who have experienced change or displacement,” Ms Nowak said.

“We’re proud to feature her exhibition at RACV Inverloch, where guests and visitors can engage with contemporary art in a welcoming and accessible setting.”
