In VEIL, Aldona Kmieć invites viewers into a contemplative exploration of femininity and identity. Through the use of colour, long exposure, and movement, she weaves elements of her Polish heritage with the enduring symbolism of the Warsaw Nike monument — a powerful emblem of strength and resilience.

The veil becomes both a metaphor and a medium, simultaneously concealing and revealing, offering a poetic space for resistance, reflection, and transformation.
