Description
Lake Hindmarsh Dreaming print
Significantly important to Wotjobaluk people, Lake Hindmarsh is located on the Wimmera River, with beautiful red gum trees around. When largest freshwater Lake Hindmarsh overflows, water runs to the deeper Lake Albacutya, which has been recognised under the Ramsar Convention as a wetland of international importance.
I have visited the Lake when there was no water in it, camping on the edges of the lake for 4 nights, photographing the skies, the stars and the spectacular eeriness of the scenery and landscape surrounding Lake Hindmarsh.
