r.a.g.e. – random acts of gentle expression

What does it take to sustain a creative practice?

r.a.g.e. – random acts of gentle expression explores the tension between passion and frustration that shapes artistic life. Emerging from Trocadero Projects’ Peer-to-Peer Program, this exhibition brings together works developed through months of shared dialogue, reflection and mutual support.

Artists Fiona Barbetti, Aldona Kmieć, Catalina Labra-Odde, Stephanie Siu and Florence Wang present practices shaped by time, conflict, care and growth. Across cyanotype textiles, oil paintings, surreal self-portraiture, installation collage and layered narratives, personal and collective histories unfold.

Together, the works reveal creativity not as a singular breakthrough, but as an ongoing negotiation – sustained through resilience, reflection and persistence.
