I’m pleased to be participating in After the Gold Rush: Victorian Landscape, a group exhibition at XYZ Photo Gallery running from 16 May to 21 June 2026.
The exhibition brings together ten photographers exploring contemporary interpretations of the Victorian bush through a diverse range of photographic processes and perspectives. Featuring work by John Gollings, Harry Nankin, David Tatnall, David Rosendale, Aldona Kmieć, Indya Connley, Shane Booth, Ian Kemp, Jackson Low, and garrie maguire, the exhibition reflects on landscape as both beauty and evidence — shaped by history, memory, and human intervention.
Spanning historic and contemporary photographic techniques, from cyanotype and photogravure to silver gelatin, lith printing, and giclée, After the Gold Rush considers what remains of the “natural” landscape after the long shadow of the gold rush, and how we continue to see, use, and imagine the Victorian bush today.
Exhibition Dates: 16 May – 21 June 2026
Open 1pm – 5pm Thur – Sunday
Venue: XYZ Photo Gallery, Docklands
