In the recent days, I have been scanning some amazing images from Roman & Teresa Skrypko family archive. There are so how many beautiful photographs. Some gelatine prints are really small, so it is very challenging to get the detail our of them, bust some are fortunately much bigger.
I love piano accordion, it’s a common instrument played in Poland and I’ve played it since I was about 8-9 yo. To me it is a very symbolic and nostalgic instrument. I was super stoked when I saw it in some of the images in the archive.
The Skrypko & Buczek family photographs will be on photographic display at the Ballarat Town Hall and Ballarat Mining Exchange as part of the Ballarat Heritage Weekend 10-11th May, 2014.
