Afterglow is a winter group exhibition at Kindred Cameras, featuring work by over 50 artists responding to light as both a physical and emotional presence.

Open to a wide range of visual art forms, the exhibition explores glow, reflection, shadow, atmosphere, memory, and the lingering traces that remain once light has faded. Drawing on the feeling of Melbourne’s winter nights, Afterglow brings together works that illuminate, soften, obscure, and transform the space.

From works that engage directly with light, projection, reflection, and materiality, to quieter responses exploring warmth, intimacy, memory, and presence, Afterglow invites viewers to consider what remains after a moment of illumination has passed.
