My first wedding of 2012 season at Port Melbourne ‘She’s the boss’Bridal Party enjoying the momentMy Japanese exchange student helping me to photograph the best shots from the wedding bookMy second January 2012 wedding with a lovely local couple Jo & Hamish. This location shot was published Australia wide in a glossy Volkswagen Magazine on two page spread later in July (below) thanks guys!VWeddingAnd More Happy Days to follow…My third love ceremony a couple of weeks later on a Valentine’s Day – stunning rustic shots of the one and only Amy & Julio…with some secret shots of lovely guests & MC Nathan CurnowHappinessAnd then was The Harmony Fest in Camp Street where I was announced as one of nine new Multicultural Ambassadors of Ballarat. I took this shot shortly after of another fellow ambassador, Ghulam from Afghanistan. And then was St Patrick’s Day when Brigid & Pat got married and the Queen was there tooI was lucky to photograph so many beautiful locationsfinishing in style at the newly renovated Minerva Space upstairs at The Mechanics Institute. What a pleasure to photograph it!I designed a pretty slick modern feel coffee wedding book, which I was very proud ofAnd then had a pleasure of jetting off to Europe to photograph my lovely little sis Marta getting married to Damian in MayAnd their wedding book looked fabulous showing all the important and funny moments they will never forgetOn the way back from Europe I photographed my feet in Guangzhou, Canton. It all made sense so I gave it a title ‘The world at your feet’In between of it all I managed to make more friends and teach interesting portrait workshops in Beaufort, Avoca and Ballarat with Lead On Ballarat. Props for the winter but they loved them!!!Then I started my portraiture project 100 Faces and had my first serious sitter! Then followed with a portrait of Nathan Curnow, talented Australian poet now living in Ballarat (Google him!)I liked the project so much more, so really got onto it photographing characters – my Japanese student was one of them after winning a gold medal at the Victorian Kendo Championships in Melbourne. In May we had the fab Art Sparks event organised by the Ballarat Arts Alive (http://www.Baa.mx). I was late as couldn’t find the address, so I used my extreme low light lens that captured three billions of colours. These shots now feature on the background of the Central Highland Arts Atlas – new website for all artists creators and people alike – http://artsatlas.com.auAnd then in August, my art residency with Uniting Care Ballarat has started, called ‘Under the Floorboards’. it was and still is a very humbling experience meeting so many fantastic volunteers in our communityI worked with beautiful models trying locally made organic products (http://www.Rub a Dub.com.au)And met Steve & Marion from Salty Dog Blues when they needed new images of their bandAnd of course cannot forget the EMPTY SPACES Behind the scenes shots with Brendan Connor for the 2012 Public Art Mentor Project later projected on the Town HallHad fun with images from the Apex Australia Teenage Fashion Awards at the Whitehouse, MelbourneI was amazed with this great creation, the dance the music – it did take my breath away! You never knew but I cry like a baby when I hear good film music, so had to really try & stop myself being where I was photographing the stage where they had a live transmission with a New York based judge Henry RothThen I met Luke and was telling him all about the Multicultural Program, my cameras and the Polish Food he must try nextThe food at the Chinese Mooncake Festival was simply fabulous! I wish more people came to experience it!Managed to produced some cool product shots for a local client, wasn’t always easy!!Next photographed an event with Kylie impersonator @TheGeorge using manual focus lens in low light.. Lucky my eyesight is still good ;_)And the my parents arrived to Australia, which was their first overseas holidays ever. So we showed them what Australia was
Then my Mum made me knead some Polish makaron dough so I don’t forget my roots
