Wednesday Market

Wednesday farmers market, traditionally known as ‘rynek’ in Kłobuck, Silesia, southern Poland captured on Fujifim XT1, in 2015. I’ve been coming to this market with my parents and grandparents for as long as I can remember. Held twice weekly, and especially busy on Saturdays, you can feel its authentic and communal atmosphere: bustling stalls filled with fresh produce, flowers, and various goods. These photographs capture a strong sense of interaction among vendors and customers, and the distinct character of this important weekly activity.
