We absolutely loved the day, and both you and Albert were so professional in fact I didn’t even notice you guys throughout the evening which made it all seem so seamless. Stan and I had great fun going through all the photos, we were so happy with them!!! As you can see by the 180 photos we picked hahaha! We felt that our whole day was captured so well, and nothing was missed, I just wish I could do it all over again ! J My favourites are definitely the natural shots you managed to capture of us laughing or dancing – amazing J

“We were lucky enough to have Aldona provide some of her beautiful, artistically inspired images for our website. Her images made our site look fantastic and really stand out from the crowd. She was of cheerful countenance and sunny disposition throughout and we would happily work with her again in the future. A real pleasure.”

“What a wonderful day with Aldona Kmieć yesterday … and then this afternoon as we looked at the photos on Aldona’s Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. Guess what I am lusting after now? Please check out how to access such wonderful training (DigiBiz Creative Mentoring at Big Space) and you too can be improving your blog and/or website … and it’s free.”
Brigid O’Carroll Walsh, The Network Oct 2014
“Thank you so much for your help with the greeting cards Aldona. The images capture Ballarat beautifully and represent the essence of our community. The cards are professional quality and I’m so proud to be using a local artist working within our community to represent my own business which is also about supporting the local family community. I look forward to using your services again and would recommend your work far and wide.”
Louise Jones, Blossom Connect, Sept 2014
“It’s easy to think dreary, miserable thoughts about Ballarat. I love your photos that remind us to look at the beauty around us (instead of grumbling about the cold)”

‘Congratulations Aldona, on great photos at Under the Floorboards. You have done a magnificent job. My Mum is one of the ladies photographed and you have captured her perfectly. She told me lots about you and the day you took the photos and then I have heard you being interviewed on the radio frequently so it had been great to see the photos for myself. Your photo is as we see Mum, but we can never get her smiling like you have captured her.’
Annette Slatter, Under the Floorboards Oct 2013
“Aldona was the photographer for our recent wedding. Choosing someone to capture our wedding in the way we wanted was overwhelming but the moment I looked at Aldona’s photos I knew she was the right photographer for us. Her photos are so unique and beautiful and seem to capture the true feeling and mood of the day as well as our own unique personalities and the connection we have to one another. We felt so lucky to have such a talented, creative and thoughful photographer who put us and our family at ease on the day. Nothing seemed too much trouble not even our unique wedding schedule and limited time frames. Aldona produced so many truly beautiful, timeless images which we will always treasure.”
Casey & Nathan, Oct 2013

‘Just love the Melbourne Wedding, it’s a breath of fresh air! When I look back to the formulaic photography practised when back in the eighties when I was beating the streets with camera in tow I marvel at how far we’ve come, both photographer and client.
More power to you Aldona.’

“We commissioned Aldona to capture images for a publication we were working on. Her friendly and engaging approach was very refreshing and placed people at ease. She was very attentive when listening to our ideas and proved to be very flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of the project. Aldona was very accommodating and generous with her time. She is very professional and her images are delightful, honest and rich. We would happily work with her again!”
Stephanie, Delacombe Neighbourhood Renewal Project, June 2013
“My Australia is one outcome of Aldona Kmiec’s ongoing inquiry into the nature and meaning of ‘multiculturalism’ in contemporary Australian society. Working with local culturally diverse communities, Aldona creates images that are sometimes straightforward and at other times atmospheric and abstract. Taken together, her body of work is a narrative about identity, the isolation people can feel as the ‘other’ in a community, the simultaneous joy of discovery and the dislocation experienced when moving between cultures, and the determination for recognition as both human and professional in the face of one’s perceived differences.”
Helen Bath, Voice FM ‘My Australia, My Journey’ photography exhibition review March 2013

“How lucky we were to have our friend and amazing photographer Aldona Kmiec get our special day on film with such care and style.
Photos of the guests including children enjoying the apple trees and all ages digging into the food, sit alongside lovely shots of the ceremony and happy couple! A particularly special shot of our friend’s Phil and Ange capture her pregnant belly only days before they gave birth to their first child! Thanks so much, a highly recommended photographer for any occasion- professional, versatile and creative, what more could you want? : )”

“Aldona Kmiec: Transient – Venue 14 2011 Ballarat Foto Biennale Exhibition review “This was a surprise set of work that isn’t perfect but had some genuine moments of wow! Essentially street / art photography in B&W, some of the images such as the multi-exposure Sumo and some of the upside down shadow prints were very strong. I like it.”
