it is for real G!!! coffee cherry tea
I got a gift from a friend some time ago, ‘Cascara’ – the pulp of the coffee cherries.
Because not many people know what it is, so here’s more info. Coffee cherry tea is a herbal tea made from the dried berries (or “cherries”) of the coffee plant. It is also known as cascara, from the Spanish cáscara, meaning “husk”, Makes kind of a freaky strong tea brew, in fact I drank two cups forgetting I had a shoot later on.. I was hyped on caffeine.. Apparently this stuff is three times stronger than regular coffee, so warning there! I brewed it for 10 mins, added a bit of honey for taste and it was fantastic! Mix of plum, cherries and citrus.
Later on the same Valentines evening… we went to another fantastic soul performance by Geoffrey William’s at The Main Bar in Ballarat.. in a funny turn of events… as it happens in life… us and Geoffrey started talking about plums, coffee, cherries and.. ninjas… here’s a short video where he comes up with a crazy salsa song about coffee, plums and ninjas… enjoy! ..and don’t miss Geoffrey’s fab voice next Friday Feb 21, 5.30pm start at Backyard Tasters event in Ballarat.
Here’s the iPhone footage, leave a comment if you like 🙂
